Hi, we’re Jason and Debbie – the husband-and-wife duo behind Elemental Brand Photography.

I’ve been doing photography since 2014 when I began because of extended international trips for work, needing a hobby to do to fuel me to get out and explore while not in the office. At the time, my focus was on photographing jets (I was an engineer in the aviation industry) and landscapes, but that quickly evolved. I was motivated not just for the technical challenges it presented, but it also forced me to get outside where I explored, saw some amazing things, and met some of the most unique and inspiring people.
The camera not only challenged me technically, but I also grew as a person from those experiences, and I loved it!
Not long after picking up the camera for the first time, I began exploring more of the details behind the device. I began learning about everything I could do with it, and it became an obsession – learning and trying new techniques. The next thing I knew, I wasn’t just playing with the camera – I was learning post-processing and how to make the images tell the story I wanted to tell!
Fast forward over a decade to now, and I still love everything about photography. The people I’ve met, the images I’ve captured, the skills I’ve gained, and the storyteller I’ve become. I love being able to take an image – or a set of images – and use them to tell the story they need to tell, or that I want them to tell. I love being able to create images that evoke emotions and drive conversation.
Over the last decade+, I’m excited to be able to collaborate with other motivated and creative partners that have brand stories they need to tell, and to use the skills I’ve acquired over many years to help create a visual story that benefits and drives their brand forward.
I really hope we have the opportunity to work together, because together we’ll create something truly valuable for you and your brand – but just as importantly, we’ll take the stress out of it and make it an experience you will not only enjoy, but also get results that you’ll be proud of!
Some of my favorite things: my wife Debbie and our two border aussies (Maizie and Layla), a good hike and exploring the outdoors, and jets – I might be afraid of heights, but I still love watching jets!

Hi, I’m Debbie – and I love a good plan!
I’m all about the little details and making sure everything runs smoothly from start to finish. When things are thoughtfully organized it creates space for creativity to flow and confidence to shine – that’s where the magic happens.
One of my favorite parts of what I do is getting to know the people behind the brand. I love hearing your story, learning about your journey, and collaborating on creative ways to bring your vision to life in a way that’s both beautiful and intentional.

5 Facts About Us
1. Our Lifestyle's A Little Different
We are full time travelers. In 2022, we sold our house and challenged ourselves in a new lifestyle of traveling full time, allowing us to see more new places and meet more incredible people. Since then, we call a 30’ Airstream home.
2. Not Always Photographers
Before finding love in photography, Jason was a software engineer (with a Masters degree from the University of Washington and nearly 2 decades experience developing satellite and military systems) and Debbie was a K-5 Special Education teacher (with a Masters degree from the University of Washington and almost 10 years experience teaching).
3. What Got the Ball Rolling?
Jason began photography focused on capturing landscapes and natural wonders, focusing on creating fine art that shows the beauty and power of nature. You can see his work at Jason Kudlo Photography.
4. Where We're From ...
Washington (specifically the Pierce county area and around Tacoma) was home for us before we decided to travel full time and see the country. We still get back at least a couple times a year to see family and friends – and help with that homesickness even after 4 years traveling!
5. A Break Can Be Nice
When not working on a project, our favorite past times are exploring trails with our dogs, BBQing outside (when you live in a 30’ trailer – this is gold!), and if it’s winter – watching those winter PNW waves create havoc among the shoreline!

Maizie + Layla
It’s not just us on the road – we also have two 5 year old border collie – Australian shepherd (border-aussies) that enjoy the adventure with us. While those rainy days in the PNW can be rough, bring about a sunny day (or at least a day not full of mud), and these two find themselves loving the outdoors. They particularly love those sandy beaches where they absolutely lose their minds in a solid game of tag!!!

Why Did We Start Brand Photography?
OK, I’m not going to lie – there is an aspect of it that we got into because we saw it as an opportunity to earn money by providing a service for others that was in demand. But, that’s only one aspect of it.
In our lifestyle, we get to meet people all over the United States, hear their stories, and see their creative and unique brands and products. Many of them are mind blowing, but they haven’t found a way to show just how amazing their stuff is online visually. This is where we come in – we want to help share those stories, brands, visions, and products that are out there visually, helping our clients create meaningful and financially-beneficial relationships that elevate their business.
