At Elemental Brand Photography, we believe a great brand photoshoot starts long before we click the shutter button. It’s about collaboration, clarity, and crafting a visual story that truly represents your business. We’re excited to share where we are so far with our ongoing project for Summit Home Group – led by Celine Williams and her incredible team at Realty One.

We’re especially thrilled to work with Celine because we’ve experienced firsthand the level of care and professionalism she brings. A couple of years ago, she helped us sell our home and it was one of the smoothest, quickest transactions we could have imagined. At the time, we were nervous – and very particular – about selecting a realtor, since a previous experience with another agent had left us uneasy (to put it mildly). Celine was the complete opposite: attentive, reassuring, and on top of every detail. Laying the Foundation: Consultation & Contracts

Our journey began with an in-depth consultation call. In just under an hour, we gathered a wealth of information that will guide us in creating the visuals Celine needs for her business. The conversation centered on understanding her vision, brand values, and the story she wants her images to tell. We focused on gaining a clear picture of Summit Home Group’s identity and what sets them apart in the real estate space – including Celine’s dedication to being more than just a broker. She positions herself as her clients’ cheerleader and partner, helping them navigate what can be both a stressful and exciting chapter in their lives.

Celine is also deeply committed to growth – not only for her team and services but also in her connection to the community. She makes it a priority to know local resources inside and out so she can guide clients toward what they need, easing the stress of not knowing where to turn.

Shortly after, Celine signed the initial invoice and commercial image rights contract. This step is key to ensuring both parties are aligned on deliverables and the usage rights of the photos. This gives Celine the freedom to confidently leverage the images across all her marketing channels.

Empowering with Knowledge: Resources & Roadmap

We believe that education is an essential part of delivering great service. A photoshoot isn’t just about showing up with a camera – it’s about making sure our clients feel confident, prepared, and supported at every stage. To that end, we provided Celine with a comprehensive set of resources that break down key brand photography terminology in clear, simple language. These guides are designed to remove the mystery and help her feel empowered to make informed decisions, whether that’s choosing the right wardrobe pieces, understanding how different formats can be used across platforms, or knowing why certain types of shots matter for her brand.

We also shared a step-by-step roadmap outlining the full photoshoot journey – from early preparation and planning, to shoot day itself, all the way through editing and final delivery. This roadmap gives her a clear sense of timing and expectations, so there are no surprises along the way. It also helps her and her team know how to best prepare and what roles they’ll play on the shoot day. The goal is to make the entire experience feel seamless and stress-free, with plenty of clarity at every step – all while we have an productive day filled with laughter and success.

Planning Every Detail: Location & Wardrobe Guides

Visual storytelling is all about the details – the small choices that, when combined, create a big impact. That’s why we gave Celine customized guides to help her select both locations and wardrobe options that align with her brand story. These resources go beyond just suggesting “pretty backdrops” or “professional outfits.” Instead, they walk through how color, texture, setting, and style can work together to reinforce Summit Home Group’s message and values.

For example, a thoughtfully chosen location can communicate connection to the community, sophistication, or approachability – all without saying a word. Similarly, wardrobe choices influence how a brand is perceived: bold colors might highlight energy and confidence, while neutral tones often communicate trust and stability. By providing Celine with tools to make these decisions intentionally, we ensure that every detail contributes to the bigger picture.

The end result is cohesion and authenticity in every image, so her photos don’t just look beautiful – they feel like Summit Home Group. They reflect the professionalism, warmth, and elevated service that Celine and her team are known for, allowing clients and future clients to immediately sense who they are and what they stand for.

Crafting the Vision: The Summit Home Group Mood + Storyboard

Next, we created a mood board and storyboard to set the tone and narrative arc for the shoot. This creative blueprint highlights the style, colors, and moods we’re aiming for, giving Celine a clear preview of how her brand will come to life visually. Using tools like Pinterest and Google, we pulled together examples of setups and poses we believe best reflect her style and message. This allows Celine to see our vision ahead of time, confirm we’re on the right track, or course-correct before shoot day – ensuring we’re using everyone’s time effectively.

These boards aren’t rigid shot lists or exact scripts, but flexible blueprints that keep us aligned with her brand identity. They serve as a shared guide to make sure we fully understand her style and needs, while giving us room to adapt creatively on the day of the shoot.

Celine has already shared thoughtful feedback on these boards and we’re now integrating her input into a detailed shot list. This list will guide us on the photoshoot day – helping us capture every important moment and visual element that tells her unique story.

Where We Are Now: Finalizing Locations, Dates & Detailed Shot List

Currently, we are in the final stages of locking down the shoot locations, confirming the dates, and putting together a precise schedule. This ensures the day runs smoothly and maximizes every moment behind the lens.

At the same time, we’re meticulously finalizing the detailed shot list. This step is crucial to guarantee we don’t miss any of the specific shots Celine wants – from candid team moments to key branded visuals. We also use this area to document the style of shot we need to gather (is it a hero shot? Or a detail shot? Not sure what those are? See our blog post on 5 More Composition Styles) as well as the aspect ratio notes that we need to make sure we capture the shot in (for social media? We need to make sure we get that portrait orientation – but if there’s a chance she will need it as a website banner – we better get a really wide shot too!). This part of our process is all about making sure the final images are exactly what Summit Home Group needs to elevate their brand presence.

What Comes Next: The Exciting Photoshoot Day & Beyond

With the planning well underway, the next big milestone is the photoshoot itself! On the shoot day, we’ll bring all the preparation to life, capturing authentic, compelling images that tell Summit Home Group’s story.

After the shoot, we’ll move into post-production, where we carefully edit and enhance the photos to highlight the best features and maintain brand consistency and authenticity.

Finally, we’ll deliver the final image gallery, along with usage guidelines to help Celine and her team confidently share their new visuals across all of their marketing platforms.
